Verizon and Motorola might not have been the first duo to launch an Android smartphone, but Verizon’s exclusive Motorola Droid undoubtedly played a huge role in making Android what it is today. Since that epic first handset debuted in 2009, Motorola and Verizon have reunited a number of times to launch new Droid-branded phones like the Droid RAZR series and the Droid X. Now, they will come together yet again to unveil the latest and greatest Motorola has to offer. Verizon is holding a press conference in New York City on Tuesday and three brand new smartphones are expected to be unveiled: the Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid mini. Details and images of all three handsets have already leaked extensively, but will Verizon have a few surprises in store for us?
