CNET is a huge site that reviews every tablet it can get its hands on, and that long list likely includes just about any tablet you might consider buying right now. Beyond the site’s standard reviews, it recently put out a list that ranks the six best tablets on the market right now in terms of battery performance. Why six? We have no clue.
With 11.5 hours of battery life per charge as tested by CNET, Google’s well-reviewed Nexus 7 slate finds itself in the No. 5 slot ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. Microsoft’s Surface 2 narrowly topped the Nexus 7 with 11.6 hours per charge, and Lenovo’s Yoga Tablet 10 came in at No. 3 with 12.4 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The 13.2 hours per charge managed by Apple’s popular iPad Air was only good enough for the No. 2 spot on CNET’s list, while the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 headed the pack with a remarkable 14.2 hours of battery life per charge.
