We aren’t exactly thrilled with the first trailer for Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs, but thankfully, it isn’t the only Steve Jobs-related movie coming to theaters this year. In fact, Academy Award winner Alex Gibney’s documentary, Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine, is coming to select theaters nationwide on September 4th, a full month before Sorkin’s film.

The last we heard from Gibney, he was comparing Apple to Scientology. Gibney might be best known for his other 2015 documentary, Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief. There might not be many obvious correlations between the two topics, but Gibney’s portrayal of Apple is certain to be both fascinating and unforgiving.
We saw a short clip from the film last month, but on Friday, Mashable shared the first trailer for the film, filled with clips from Jobs’ life and interviews with those who knew him best. The film premiered at South by Southwest earlier this year and received generally favorable reviews.
