You’ll never put on a Band-Aid the same way again after watching this life hack video

You probably think you know everything there is to know about the proper way to put on a Band-Aid — but thanks to the magic of the Internet, it turns out that you’re completely wrong! A new life hack video posted by CrazyRussianHacker this week reveals a killer method for putting on a Band-Aid so that it will actually properly wrap around the top of your finger and not leave any part of your wound exposed.

As you can see in the screencap below, he first takes scissors and cuts a rectangular Band-Aid into a butterfly-like shape:

He then flips it vertically and places the tip of his finger right at the Band-Aid’s midpoint:

From there he folds the Band-Aid over his thumb and wraps the edges around the sides:

Once he does the same thing with the other half of the Band-Aid on the other side of his thumb, it’s completely covered without any exposed areas:

Ta-dah! It’s that easy.
