As promised back in February, Mozilla announced on its blog that a preview of Firefox Metro for Windows 8 is now available for intrepid users to download. Firefox Metro will support both a Metro user interface and a classic desktop UI as it is designed for x86 Windows 8 systems. Mozilla says that users with the RTM version of Windows 8 can download nightly builds of Firefox Metro here.
As a preview, there are bound to bugs and glitches scattered around the updated browser, but that’s why Mozilla needs help getting them logged and closed up before Windows 8’s big launch on October 25th. According to Mozilla’s blog, the Firefox Metro preview includes “a new Metro style Firefox Start page, support for Firefox Sync, Metro touch and swipe gestures, integration with Windows 8 ‘charms’, and a simple but powerful Australis interface that is streamlined, modern, and beautiful.”
