on Friday announced via Twitter that it will hold a new Moto X sale on Monday, offering its flagship Android smartphone starting at just $299 without a contract, or $100 off the regular $399 price for the 16GB version of the handset in the U.S. However, the promotion is limited to just one hour, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m EST on January 27th. During that time, interested buyers will be able to register on Motorola’s website for the phone, at which point they’ll receive a personal code good towards the purchase of their desired Moto X handset version. Interestingly, the $100 discount can be applied to any Moto X version, including the 32GB model and the Developer Edition available from Motorola.
After the special one-hour Moto X sale is over, Motorola will continue to sell the handset for a cheaper price, offering buyers $70 off the price of the phone from January 27 through February 14, which means unlocked Moto X pricing will start at $329 for the 16GB model. The company has only recently slashed the Moto X price down to $399 following a Cyber Monday Moto X sale that proved to be very popular with the crowds.
