Roommates hospitalized after stabbing one another during heated iPhone vs. Android debate

iPhone Vs. Android Fans Stabbing

As we’ve seen for years in the BGR comments section, debates between iPhone fans and Android fans can get pretty heated, although in most cases those debates devolve into accusing the other fan base of being rampant sex offenders, among other insults. Thankfully, to our knowledge none of these digital altercations has ever resulted in physical violence of any sort. The same cannot be said for two roommates who share an apartment in Tulsa, Oklahoma and who were hospitalized Friday morning after stabbing one another during an argument over whether iOS or Android is better.

Local Tulsa station KTUL reports that police responded to reports of an altercation at the Evergreen Apartments complex at 1 a.m. on Friday morning. Police learned that two roommates who lived in one of the apartments had been drinking and arguing over which popular smartphone platform was superior. Eventually they smashed their beer bottles and began stabbing one another with them. One roommate also smashed a beer bottle across the back of the other man’s head.

The two men were brought to a hospital where they’re being treated for their wounds.

Getting into verbal fights about smartphone platforms is a pretty stupid thing to do in general since you’re basically arguing over which major tech company is making ungodly sums of money from you. We really can’t imagine getting so upset that someone else prefers to use a different smartphone platform that we’d actually stab them over it.

All the same, the roommates were lucky that no BlackBerry fans were present at their scuffle. Why? Because if BlackBerry fans fight physically the way they spar verbally in the BGR comments section, we imagine they’re some of the most relentless and pugnacious scrappers around.
