In pictures: iPhone 6s is the biggest ‘S’ upgrade yet

The first iPhone 6s reviews agree that this year’s iPhone is much better than last year’s model, even if it’s just an “S” generation. Though it kept the same design for one more year, Apple made several improvements under the hood – it actually also changed the hood, making both the metal shell and front glass panel more resistant to breaks. In fact, when looking at the differences between the various iPhone models and their corresponding S variations, we concluded that the iPhone 6s is the biggest “S” upgrade in Apple’s history.

Tech blog CNET also compared the iPhone S models to their predecessors, creating handy images that show the evolution of the S line. As you’ll see in the following set of graphics, each S version brought several improvements and new features, including major ones such as Siri (iPhone 4S) or a 64-bit CPU and Touch ID (iPhone 5s). But the iPhone 6s takes the cake when it comes to significant changes.
