Although we got our first look at what might be the iPhone 5S’s fingerprint sensor on Wednesday, the quality of the leaked images of the home button left something to be desired. Now Sonny Dickson has come through with some high-resolution pictures of the home button flex cable that show the purported iPhone 5S fingerprint scanner much more clearly. Similar to the leaked photos we saw earlier in the week, the new pictures show a much more complicated design than the home button flex cable used in the iPhone 5, particularly the mysterious square that’s placed right next to the home button. We’ll know for sure whether the iPhone 5S has a fingerprint sensor when Apple launches the new device next week on September 10th. Some of Sonny Dickson’s pictures of the home button flex cable follow below.
