Apple still hasn’t launched any “new” mobile products yet in 2014, but it did relaunch a couple of old ones. Among them was the iPhone 4, which was re-released in India this past January with 8GB of storage in an effort to help Apple better compete with less expensive phones in the region. The new cheaper iPhone 4 was reportedly helping Apple, but apparently not enough to warrant its continued production.

According to a new report from Times of India, the iPhone 4 will no longer be sold in India. Shipments of the handset, which was sold for less than RS 20,000 in the region, are reportedly no longer reaching Apple’s distribution partners in India, and Apple is apparently saying that it will no longer be taking new orders.

It is currently not clear why Apple decided to discontinue the phone.
