The Galaxy S5 family model number has apparently been confirmed to be SM-G900, SamMobile reports, suggesting that Samsung has a different naming policy for the upcoming flagship device. The publication has received information about all Galaxy S5 models that are part of the SM-G900 family, with the list including several models that have already been seen in previous leaks, including the SM-G900A for AT&T, the SM-G900S for Korea, the SM-G900F for Europe or the SM-G900H for Indonesia.

There have been plenty of rumors surrounding the specs we can expect to see on the Galaxy S5, but this might be some of the first info on Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone that has actually been “confirmed” by a reliable source.

While SamMobile has a good track record with Samsung mobile-related leaks, the Galaxy S5 is yet to be made official. The Galaxy S4 family of handsets has model number GT-I9500, the Galaxy S3 family was known as the GT-I9300, the Galaxy S2 family had model number GT-I9100, while the original Galaxy S had model number GT-I9000.
