Google’s latest Android update, Android 5.0, is hotly anticipated for a number of reasons. The most obvious is the bold new look of Material Design, which uses bright colors, layering and subtle shadows to create a user experience akin to interacting with real physical materials. The new look rockets the Android platform into the future, and it is supported by a number of great new features such as multiple user support, a new notification system and battery life improvements.

The wait for Lollipop is painful indeed, but now we can tide you over with an in-depth video that gives you an early look at Android 5.0 running on a Galaxy S5.

DON’T MISS: This is one of the best new features in Android 5.0, and you don’t even know about it

Videos of early pre-release versions of Lollipop running on Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S5 began popping up a few weeks ago, and they gave us a good idea of what to expect from Android 5.0 with Samsung’s redesigned TouchWiz layer on top of it. That software was a very early build, however, and it wasn’t very usable at all.

But now, SamMobile is back with a new video that shows Android 5.0 running on the Galaxy S5, and this latest build looks like it’s almost ready for primetime.

Samsung’s reimagining of Android 5.0 is fast and fluid in this latest video, and it looks stable enough for release. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should expect a public version to hit your handset anytime soon. There may still be plenty of work to do behind the scenes, and the software also has to undergo extensive carrier testing in the U.S. before it rolls out.

In the meantime, SamMobile’s full video is embedded below.
