FCC blesses CDMA, HTC, Windows Phone 7 Device; is it the 7 Pro?

It looks like the FCC has just green-lighted a new Windows Phone 7 handset for the U.S. market. The FCC’s report has nearly zero details about the recently approved device aside from the fact that it is made by the Taiwanese handset giant, runs Windows Phone, and packs a CDMA radio. If we had to speculate, we would guess this is the HTC 7 Pro we saw several weeks ago in New York City at the Windows Phone 7 launch event. The device we saw was not working — as in it wouldn’t even power on — and Microsoft has been pretty vocal in saying there would be no CDMA Windows Phone 7 handsets before January 1. Does this mean that the WP7 CDMA timetable has been accelerated? We doubt it, but there’s always hope…
