The money folks behind this emerging tech have just certified the first group of UWB chipsets, meaning wireless speeds of up to 480mbps (essentially wired USB 2.0 speeds) are closer than we think. In fact, the first products featuring this deliciousness could hit by the end of this year, with Bluetooth 3.0 finding its way into toys sometime around next Spring.
