Facebook has been sending out invitations to media outlets for an event on Wednesday the 18th where they will “provide an update on the service’s features and products” of the company. What new services and products the company may unveil is still unknown and up for speculation. However, AllThingsD is reporting that “a multitude of sources inside Facebook” have indicated that the social networking giant will be announcing a foursquare-like, geo-location, check-in service at tomorrows event. The report goes on to say that Facebook is likely to, “integrate other third-party services and will give developers on Facebook’s platform geo-location capabilities.” The event starts tomorrow at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. We’ll be sure to update you on what, if anything, Facebook announces.
