Not a typical gadget-centric post but an interesting topic nonetheless. Today, Chevrolet announced pricing for the 2011 Chevy Volt, GM’s latest all-electric automobile offering, and in our opinion it is pretty steep. The 2011 Volt will have a base MSRP of $41,000, that’s the base. The car does come with a $7,500 tax credit, but consumers hoping to finance one of these bad boys will have to work with the $41,000 number and wait for the federal tax break. The Volt can also be leased for $350/month for 36 months with $2,500 down. There is obviously an extra cost that is incurred with any first generation product, what do you think about this one? Will the Volt sell?
