BlackBerry really needs to figure out what it’s doing with itself quickly and now The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the company could be sold off by November. Citing unnamed sources, the Journal says that BlackBerry is “aiming to run a fast auction process that could be wrapped up by November,” although it also cautions that “it is far from guaranteed any serious bids will materialize or that the company will pull off a sale in that time frame, if at all.” Even so, the Journal’s sources say that BlackBerry has already held preliminary talks with a number of different companies that have expressed interest in buying all or part of the firm. What’s more, BlackBerry’s board is reportedly pushing for a speedy resolution to the sales process and is hoping to start bidding soon.
