Many of the year’s most anticipated games won’t start dropping for another couple of months, but in this console generation, we don’t have to wait for release dates to try out new games. Starting on February 3rd, EA and Visceral Games will launch an open beta for Battlefield Hardline, allowing players to see everything they’ve tweaked since the last beta about seven months ago.

In the open beta, participants will be able to play in three modes across three different maps. The modes available in the open beta are Hotwire mode, Heist mode and the never-before-seen Hacker mode, which is similar to Commander in Battlefield 4.

In Hacker mode, the Hackers will be able to hijack security cameras to spot their opponents and decide how best to dispatch them. Hotwire mode tasks criminals with stealing marked cars while the police attempt to repossess them and finally, Heist mode gives the criminals the chance to rob a bank with the police hot on their tail.

If you want to participate in the open beta, all you have to do is download it. The beta will be playable on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. On the new consoles and PC, the download will clock in at about 10-11GB, while PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will only have to make room for 4GB.

The open beta begins on February 3rd and ends on February 8th. Watch the trailer to learn more:
