AT&T to boost upload speeds

As people rely more and more on their cell phone to keep other people involved in their lives, upload speeds are becoming increasingly important. Video uploading, cell phone picture uploading…you name it, it’s becoming popular. Because of that, AT&T is looking to boost their upload speeds from the slow speed of 120kbps to the 500-800kbps range. While AT&T folks will rejoice at this news, it will likely only come to data cards first, like the ones we broke the story on, with handsets to follow sometime in 2008 at best. And, one must take into account that Verizon and Sprint have been on this bandwagon for quite some time now, and it’s only now that the Big Blue Globe is catching up. We applaud the attempt at upgrading HSDPA to HSUPA, AT&T, but you’ve got some more catching up to do.
