When unveiling the Apple Watch during its big iPhone 6 event, Apple offered only a mysterious “early 2015” launch window for its first wearable computer, without committing to a specific release date for the gadget. Meanwhile, Taiwanese publication Apple Daily has found out the iPhone maker will start Apple Watch mass production as soon as January 2015, with Quanta Computer being the only company making the device for Apple.

FROM EARLIER: The Apple Watch makes a surprising first public appearance

The report says that Apple and Quanta may have reached a deal that prohibits the latter from manufacturing any other smartwatch model from competitors. Furthermore, Quanta has apparently also started hiring more workers to meet Apple’s future Watch demands.

The report seems to be in line with a recent story about Apple’s rumored Watch 2015 launch plans. After failing to launch the device this year in time for the busy Christmas shopping season, Apple is said to be eying a mid-February Valentine’s Day launch for the Apple Watch, although nothing is confirmed at this point.

What’s clear is that Apple can’t wait to launch the device, at least considering this week’s special appearance of the Apple Watch in Paris. In celebration of the Fashion Week, Apple Watches are currently displayed at a Parisian boutique Colette for a limited time, where anyone can admire them in various flavors.
