Apple has significantly improved its Maps software since its rocky initial launch, though it might be a while until it’s able to dethrone Google Maps. Even so, the iPhone maker is continuously updating Apple Maps, with a new report revealing that Apple Maps users are now able to enjoy a terrific new feature.

According to AppleInsider, hotel reviews from TripAdvisor and Booking.com are already showing up in local search results, on top of data sourced from Yelp, making traveling with Apple Maps even easier than before.
Spotted initially be a reader, the new feature can be tested in the wild, with TripAdvisor and Booking.com reviews showing up for various hotels in the U.S as well as other regions of the world, including China.
The publication points out that neither TripAdvisor nor Booking.com are listed as sources on the Maps attribution webpage, but results from these two hotel resources are already appearing in Maps search.
The new feature might be the result of Apple’s purchase of Spotsetter, a startup that came up with its own algorithm to recommend points of interests to users based on social network contacts. Spotsetter has deals with TripAdvisor, Zagat and Yelp to deliver information, and Apple might be using them in Apple Maps.
