Google’s Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have appeared in numerous leaks, all seemingly confirming the same general picture. LG made the next-gen affordable and reasonably sized Nexus handset (the Nexus 5X) while Huawei was tasked with creating the next-gen high-end Nexus handset (the Nexus 6P).

With just a few days to go until Google’s September 29th announcement event for the handsets, a Geekbench 3 benchmark test has been discovered, further detailing the specs of the Nexus 5X and suggesting the handset will be rather affordable. A similar test for the Huawei Nexus handset is also available, indicating the phone will offer performance on par with the class-leading Galaxy S6.

According to one finding, spotted initially by TechTastic, the Nexus 5X (listed as LGE bullhead on the site) will feature a six-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM.

Test scores reveal that the new phone won’t be able to top other flagship Android rivals. The Nexus 5X managed a score of 1000 in single-core tests and 2919 in multi-core tests.

Android tech blog Phandroid found a listing dated September 22nd for the Huawei Angler on the same site, or the Nexus 6P, which indicates the phone will have an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 3GB of RAM. The phone scored 1310 and 4431 in single- and multi-core tests, respectively.

Naturally, these are tests done on pre-release Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P handsets, likely running early Android 6.0 Marshmallow builds, so future benchmark scores might be a little higher.

Meanwhile, the following scores show single-core performance as registered by Geekbench 3 for some of the current top Android devices.
