If you haven’t checked out MOBIVOX yet, the telecoms provider will be introducing two new services at CTIA that might be the push you needed. For those who haven’t yet heard of this “VoIP+” service provider, MOBIVOX essentially gives users a calling service that is accessible around the globe from any land line, mobile phone or VoIP service. MOBIVOX provides local access numbers in a wide range of countries that give you a free (local call) portal into their launching point. Once connected to the MOBIVOX virtual operator you can speak or dial a command, phone number or contact name to initiate your call. The quality is superb and the rates are low or even free. Beyond its core service as described above, MOBVOX has added a variety of value adds since its launch and come Tuesday users will be able to enjoy two more. The first is a toll free-like service dubbed “Call Me”. Call Me provides a button that can be added to email signatures, social network profiles, blogs and anywhere else you like (MOBIVOX people, how about talking to the Xobni folks about some integration?). When someone clicks the button he/she is directed to a unique Call Me page and if you are available, a call will be initiated on your dime or for free if you are each MOBIVOX users in one of the 40+ free-calling countries. The second new feature coming to CTIA is especially cool. “Send Message” might have a somewhat lackluster name, but the service is anything but lame. Send Message allows you to send text messages or emails to any of your contacts using only your voice. Speak the name of the desired contact and then speak the message that you would like to deliver. MOBIVOX does the rest. There are a bunch of other great value adds as well such as instant conferencing, simple group calling and the ability to transfer calls between your mobile and home or office phone quickly and easily. We all want cheap or free international calling; might as well get it from a cool voice-driven provider, right?
