Microsoft (MSFT) on Thursday reported earnings for the fourth quarter of 2012 that showed a net profit of $0.76 per share on revenues of $21.46 billion, thus roughly meeting expectations of a profit of $0.75 per share on revenues of $21.53 billion. Microsoft said that its Windows division posted particularly solid growth, as its revenues of $5.88 billion represented a 24% increase year-over-year. The company also reiterated that it has sold more than 60 million Windows 8 licenses so far.
