How about a little old school flavor to help them with their next caper? Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen X.K.D Electron Co must have seen the future when they brought this little puppy back from the dead. The SL-083 looks like it hopped right out of the ’80s, but doesn’t that mean it’s cool? Compatible with a variety of popular brands such as Sony, Panasonic and Phillips, this geek badge lets you control your multimedia gear from up to 5 meters away. The IR transmittor also has 30° of forgiveness if for some reason you’re quickly making your way past the device you want to control. Functions include volume, channel, input and of course the only function that really matters, power on / off. With a price tag of $22, it’s almost worth buying just to buy.
