At this point, the iPad mini will not be a surprise when Apple (AAPL) announces it. As was the case with the iPhone 5, the iPad mini has been slowly leaked out and rendered by 3D artists on an almost daily basis. We know that the tablet will sport a 7.85-inch display with a 1024 x 768 resolution, a front and rear camera, a narrower bezel and it will likely come in two finishes: anodized black and white. It’ll also have 3G connectivity and maybe even 4G LTE. The blurry shots and renders that have leaked only point to the fact that the iPad mini is real and it’s coming along. And now Chinese website Kisplay has taken the liberty of photographing a mock-up dummy unit to give detailed close-ups shots of what the final product should look like. The photos that follow below are the most detailed look at the iPad mini we’ve seen so far.
Apple is reportedly ordering 10 million iPad mini to meet the expected holiday demand. Apple is rumored to be sending out press invitations to its iPad mini event on October 10th with an announcement as early as October 17th.
