Remember when Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was released back in June and Google (GOOG) said that the Samsung (005930) Galaxy Nexus would be one of the first devices to get the upgrade? CNET’s Maggie Reardon says she recently asked both carriers about an update on pushing out Jelly Bean and received the silent treatment. Reardon says that Verizon in particular deserves some grief for the slow rollout since the company “is known for a slower upgrade process” that is supposed to guarantee strong user experience but that ends up needlessly delaying important updates.
