Some people may describe Facebook as the best places to work in the tech industry, but that’s not always the case, as not everyone who’s been hired by Mark Zuckerberg and Co. has been thrilled with the experience. In fact, many former employees have revealed some of the annoying things they had to put up with to stay at Facebook, which has been voted by others as the No. 1 company to work for.

Even though Facebook pays its interns $25,000 more than the average worker according to Business Insider, there are many things you won’t like about the company.
The fact that there are no walls at Facebook – it’s an open workspace – isn’t really that annoying, even though you don’t have any privacy. But other issues might seriously disturb you, such as having to go through a huge number of emails (as high as 1,600 a day) or being on call 24/7 for six weeks each year.
You might also hate the fact that your team doesn’t always perform cohesively, or that management “has little idea or focus on creating a team.”
“There is not a truly functional infrastructure” at Facebook, one person complained, while a former employee revealed that Facebook is still trying to work like a young startup even though it’s a giant corporation. “This is kind of like an Adam Sandler movie where he’s old but wants to act like a teenager. Awkward,” the person said.
Aside from dysfunctional teams and inefficient team leaders, Facebook also seems to have an attitude problem. “The tone of voice people used was belittling and self-righteous,” an ex-employee wrote. “I found them snobby, cliquey, and, frankly, rude.”
It can get worse: “The team treated me like garbage and I was asked to [do] really inappropriate tasks (i.e., separating the director’s laundry complete with his wife’s dirty undies still attached),” a different person revealed.
Looking too hard at Google, checking Facebook too often, and swiping features from the competition are other problems highlighted in the article. “Realizing that the company doesn’t really have a future on the mobile screen,” is also one of the issues a former worker highlighted, saying that Facebook “will eventually lose all its users to more streamlined mobile services.”
