It really is easy to forget just how incredible our smartphones are, especially now that they’re capable of doing things that we used to have several different gadgets for. Tech Guru Daily has posted an infographic produced by U.K.-based office supplies retailer Viking that shows just how many different gadgets that our smartphones have made redundant or obsolete just over the past few years.

Included among the carnage are gadgets such as landline phones, compasses, handheld translators (remember those?), alarm clocks, DVD players and handheld video cameras.

While it’s certainly fair to see that smartphones haven’t completely killed off these gadgets — most of us still use a DVD player of some kind since Netflix’s online streaming catalog still leaves a lot to be desired — it’s still amazing to think about how many different specialized gadgets we used to own that have now been packed into our smartphones. In fact, we can think of a couple that Viking left off its list — for instance, does anyone still buy a standalone basic calculator anymore when the one on your smartphone is fine for doing basic arithmetic?

We’ve posted one of the graphics below although Tech Guru Daily has lots of other cool graphics from Viking that you should check out by clicking the source link below.
