If you read our review of T-Mobile’s G2x, you know we’re fans of the dual-core handset. There is, however, something a little disheartening about buying a top-of-the-line smartphone running a slightly dated operating system — the G2x is currently running Froyo, Android 2.2. But all that is about to change, according to a tweet by T-Mobile. Via its official Twitter account, the company quipped that Gingerbread (Android 2.3) is “coming soon” to the Tegra 2 device, and that current owners “won’t have to wait long.” Great news for those that currently own, or are thinking about owning, LG’s latest creation.
