Samsung Galaxy S IV will not debut at CES next month

After a poorly interpreted teaser video hit YouTube and a number of blogs speculated that it might suggest an imminent Galaxy S IV unveiling at the Consumer Electronics Show next month, a new report confirms that Samsung’s (005930) next-generation flagship phone will not debut at CES 2013. Citing information learned from multiple unnamed sources, CNET on Tuesday reported that Samsung has no plans to replace its current flagship model so soon. The report did not provide any details surrounding product announcements Samsung has in store for its CES press conference, which will take place on Monday, January 7th. Samsung announced just last month that Galaxy S III smartphone sales topped 30 million units in just 150 days.
