Microsoft has a golden opportunity at E3 this year. After a tumultuous reveal, filled with consumer outrage and terrible Xbox 180 puns, Microsoft managed to right the ship, bringing the Xbox One in line with the vision that the public saw fit. Despite trailing behind the PS4, Xbox One sales have been extraordinary. With a steady stream of software updates and a continuous effort to please the fans, Microsoft is entering E3 as strong as it has been since the Xbox One launched last year.
In terms of exclusive games, Halo 5: Guardians is sure to steal the spotlight. It’s only been a year and a half since the release of Halo 4, but the next entry in the storied franchise will bring Master Chief to the new generation. Sunset Overdrive has also been making waves, putting a bright, colorful spin on the end of the world. Sadly, Quantum Break look to be getting pushed to Gamescom, but there are sure to be other surprises in store.
