Case maker refuses to wait, launches new iPhone 6 page a month early

How insanely hot is the demand for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6? So hot that well-known smartphone accessory maker Spigen is refusing to wait for the new iPhone to be unveiled before designing and selling cases for the next-generation Apple smartphone. The company on Wednesday launched a new page on its website dedicated to Apple’s iPhone 6, which obviously doesn’t even exist yet. Instead of waiting for the phone to be unveiled early next month during a press conference on September 9th, Spigen based its designs off of the various leaks we’ve seen thus far and is now selling cases to fit the forthcoming iPhone — maybe.

Since Apple has yet to reveal its next-generation iPhone design, there is still absolutely nothing that has been confirmed when it comes to the iPhone 6. That didn’t stop Spigen from creating a series of renders based on all the recent leaks though, and the company also designed several new cases based on the schematics and iPhone 6 dummy models we’ve seen leak in the past few months.

The company had listed several cases before on Amazon, but now it has a dedicated page on its website with pre-sales available for four different case models that will supposedly fit the 4.7-inch iPhone 6.

“The iPhone 6 could be the largest iPhone launch ever,” Spigen wrote on its website. “With smartphones increasing in size, so have consumers demand for an iPhone with a larger screen. The iPhone 6 is here to answer that demand. It is all but assured that Apple will launch a 4.7 inch iPhone 6 this September. However, the more elusive 5.5 inch iPhone 6 is still mostly a mystery. Due to leaked data, we have a good idea of what the iPhone 6 will look like and we’ve included renders of what we believe to be some of the more accurate ones. Bigger but thinner and lighter are you excited about the new iPhone 6?”

Of course, those who preorder the cases should be aware that there is no guarantee of timely delivery, and the finished product might look nothing like the images seen on Spigen’s site.
