Remember when you actually had to put your key into a car door and turn it to get it to unlock? Yeah, me either. Looks like some Nissan folks will be re-aquainted with that concept soon. Apparently, their I-Key doesn’t like cell phones very much. Enter Nissan spokesman Kyle Bazemore, interviewed by Reuters: “We discovered that if the I-Key touches a cellphone, outgoing or incoming calls have the potential to alter the electronic code inside the I-Key. The car won’t start and the I-Key cannot be reprogrammed.” Whoops. Fear not, Nissan fanboys. A new version of the key is due out this Fall.
