OK so you’ve just bought your Apple Watch and you’re already irritated because it makes a noise every time someone favorites one of your tweets. What do you do? Business Insider has posted a very helpful video that everyone who buys the Apple Watch needs to see because it shows you how to disable the alerts you get from your assorted apps.
FROM EARLIER: Your Apple Watch might be defective, no matter what Apple says
The first step is to open up your iPhone’s Apple Watch app and go to the Sounds & Haptics setting. From there, you just toggle the Mute option on so none of your apps will make a ringing noise when they send you notifications.
You still might have an issue with simply receiving too many notifications on your Apple Watch, however. To fix this, you’ll want to go to the Notifications setting and scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you’ll find all the notifications options for individual apps. From here you can disable notifications on your Apple Watch so only the really important apps will deliver alerts to your wrist. This means, for example, that you can make sure only text messages appear on your wrists and not notifications that one of your friends has just joined Instagram.
