Lenovo’s biggest move in the smartphone space this year has been to take the perpetually unprofitable Motorola off Google’s hands but now it seems the company is getting ready to release a new flagship phone that looks like an absolute beast. Engadget has snagged some pictures that were apparently taken at a private event that give us our first look at the new Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro.
The pictures show that Lenovo’s newest device that has a metal build, which is a change from the plastic casing that Lenovo used in the Vibe Z, its last flagship phone that launched earlier this year. And according to Engadget, the phone has absolutely killer specs that include a 6-inch quad-HD display, a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon processor, a 16-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash and an optical image stabilizer, and best of all, a huge 4,000mAh battery.
There’s no release date or pricing information for the new device just yet, although Lenovo will likely release it in Asian markets before bringing it to the United States since the company has had a lot of success selling handsets in its native China so far.
