Sprint (S) is on a roll with its 4G LTE coverage build out in the United States. Only two weeks after it revealed it will bring 4G LTE coverage to nine additional U.S. markets, the wireless carrier announced on Monday it is adding 11 more cities and counties to its high-speed network. Currently available in 43 markets, Sprint’s 4G LTE coverage will hit locations in Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia over the next weeks and months.
New regions getting Sprint 4G LTE include:
- Anderson, Ind.
- Clarke County, Va./Jefferson County, W.Va.
- Harrisburg/Carlisle/Hershey, Pa.
- Hagerstown, Md./Martinsburg, W.Va.
- Harrisonburg, Va.
- Muncie, Ind.
- Peabody, Mass.
- Salina, Kan.
- Shenandoah County, Va.
- South Bend/Mishawaka, Ind.
- Winchester, Va.
Additionally, Sprint says its “Network Vision” program will bring improvements to its 3G customers with stronger wireless signals, in-building coverage and fewer dropped/blocked calls.
Sprint’s 4G LTE network started rolling out in July 2012 and it is the only major carrier to offer unlimited 4G LTE plans year-round, as opposed to just during holiday promotions.
