It’s the 1st of October, and we all know what that means…HTC press release time. This morning the company announced their Q4 lineup. They announced 3 new phones to be available between October and November of this year. First up is the HTC Shift, which is a well covered bit of machinery. Originally scheduled for a Summer ’07 launch, this UMPC offers a remarkable array of features packed into an equally remarkable compact shell. How well its adopted remains to be seen, but we’ve got a hunch that this thing might give the OQO 2 a run for its money. Next on the block is the HTC S730, which is essentially an enhanced GSM variant of the HTC S710/Vox. This phone, also known as “The Wings” sports HSDPA/UMTS connectivity, a 400 MHz processor, and much more, all running atop Windows Mobile 6 Standard. Finally, we’ve got the HTC P6500, which up until know was known as the HTC Sirius. This handset features a 3 megapixel camera, on board GPS, HSDPA, and two external SD slots. Wow! HTC is also marketing a new line of accessories, including the M200 Bluetooth headset, the HS U110 3.5 millimeter audio adapter and headset, and the HS S200, which is an improved version of their OEM stereo headset. The Shift and P6500 should hit Europe sometime in November, with the S730 landing sometime later this month.
