As if waiting weeks to receive a custom ordered Core i7 iMac wasn’t bad enough, Apple forums the world wide web over are filling up with reports of computers showing up with broken displays an/or simply not booting up. Giz seems to think that the packaging might be inadequate for the 27″ behemoths and the bumpy journey from China to Anytown, USA is what’s causing the issue, but one would like to think that Apple, the masters of packaging, wouldn’t make such an amateur mistake. Thankfully it seems that Apple is taking this in stride and being quite helpful to those experiencing issues, but this whole situation is probably stressful enough for some to reach for their cigarettes and… Oh, wait. That’s not a good idea.
