After announcing the iPhone 6 will launch in China on October 17th, Apple has also revealed that its 2014 smartphones will also be available in stores in India on the same day, BGR India reports. In addition to China, India is also a major market for Apple, considering the significant number of potential buyers.

The iPhone 6 models will be available in the region for preorder on October 7th from “an expansive network of Apple Authorized Resellers,” the company revealed, without announcing official prices. A recent report suggested the 16GB iPhone 6 will cost Rs 53,500 ($870), while the entry-level iPhone 6 Plus model will be priced at Rs 62,500 ($1,016).
Previous reports said that Apple might delay the iPhone 6’s launch in the country to November, after initially planning to release it on September 26th, which is when the phone launched in more than 20 additional countries.
Unconfirmed estimates from China have revealed that no less than 2 million iPhone 6 units have been reserved in the first six hours following Apple’s launch announcement last week, with the number topping 4 million in following days – the phone will be available for preorder only on October 10 in China.
