Last week Google showed us that its virtual reality plans are more daring than a simple cardboard VR headset, as the company unveiled an advanced hardware and software system capable of recording impressive 3D video and then uploading it to YouTube. Meanwhile, other companies are taking VR in a slightly different direction.

A report from Mashable says that virtual reality sex is coming, and the toys for it are already here.
This X-rated VR content would work on any compatible headset, and with any set of these new toys. The devices would connect via Bluetooth to VR headsets in order to offer sensations that match the action on the screen – apparently, two companies including Lovense and VirtualRealPorn have already partnered up to make it all happen. The former makes the hardware, while the latter is responsible for creating the VR content.
“The basic idea is to allow the brain to be tricked into thinking the experience is real,” marketing manager of Lovense Eddy Olivares told the site. “When an actress comes close to you or when you initially look down at the action, your brain can be tricked. Our goal is to provide a toy that can perfectly mimic the movements on-screen.”
This won’t be truly interactive porn just yet, the exec said, as the technology required to make it happen is still 5 to 10 years away.
