iPhone 5 may have been delayed due to faulty Apple processors

mobile

Apple may have delayed the iPhone 5 launch until next year due to an overheating dual-core A5 chip, a new report from Sohu.com suggests. Rumor has it (and it’s purely a rumor right now) that Apple will instead launch the iPhone 5 later this year or early next when the A6 chip is available — or after it figures out the A5 overheating problems. Sohu.com also said Apple will instead introduce a slightly upgraded “iPhone 4S” device, with the same form factor as the iPhone 4, in September or October. The device is expected to feature an 8-megapixel camera, and it will also sport a faster dual-core processor, two specs that are on a par with earlier reports. With all the recent chatter surrounding a more significant iPhone update due later this year, it’s likely that Sohu.com is working with old intel in this instance.

“Purely just a rumor” and “working with old intel”

Could you guys defend Apple anymore? I only come to BGR to read the hilarious comments and not the horribly iSlanted articles.

Awesome Apple, another underclocked overhyped iDevice…..when it comes out it won’t touch the Galaxy S 2 in power. I am going to laugh my ass off if it still has the tiny 3.5″ screen…LOL

They better have 3.5″ screen its the best size -Steve Jobs

Question: Why does the A5 chip in the rumored iPhone 5 overheat when the millions of A5 chips in the iPad 2 don’t?

    • Booboolala2000

Some actually did in the iPad 2′s. That is why they were “Sold Out” a month or so after release. Ask WalMart.

iPad has more space for ventilation. Overheating happens when the device has a small and crowded board.

The phone hasn’t even been announced yet and BGR seems to speak of it as it has been.  Come on.

I should open up a new blog and post -
Analist said new Iphone 6 will have 4″ screen. And Steve Jobs just realize that The new 4″ is old 3.5″.
Analist also said the New Iphone 6 will over heat if you hold it wrong.

I’m sure the boys over at samsung are working overtime to fix apples problems….

  • Thevoiceofreason

Not an apple fan, but in their defense at least they’d rather not release than to release a crappy buggy overheating product ::cough:: MICROSOFT ::cough:: XBOX360 ::cough::

I hope Samsung purposely did this. It would be a well deserved kick in Apple’s face.

I am a BB user but I say its good that Apple is delaying the shipment for iPhone 5 not due to competition but Steve Jobs values quality and I like that… Apple will be fine.  I expect big from iPhone 4s even people were disappointment.  Apple is Apple.
