Over the past several weeks, Nvidia and AMD have been attempting to one-up each other by launching increasingly affordable graphics cards. Nvidia struck first with the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. AMD followed with the $199 RX 480. Nvidia hit back days later with its own sub-$300 GTX 1060.
But after weeks of fighting over the low-end, it’s time to bring out the big guns.

Meet the new Titan X. As in previous years, Nvidia’s Titan X is its top-of-the-line GPU for 2016. For a budget-breaking $1,200, you can own a graphics card that features 12GB of GDDR5X memory, 10 Gbps memory speed, 3,584 CUDA cores and a Boost Clock speed of up to 1,531 MHz.
If you’re looking for a reasonable upgrade over your current GTX 960 or GTX 970, the 11 teraflops of the Titan X would probably be overkill. On the other hand, if you want to play new PC games at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, it might be worth shelling out for this beast of a graphics card.
