Two months ago, Nvidia unveiled two new graphics cards: the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070. They provided a significant power boost over the previous generation of GeForce cards at a fraction of the cost, but they were still a bit pricey for PC gamers with a strict budget. That’s where the GTX 1060 comes in.

On Thursday morning, Nvidia announced a third 10-series graphics card: the GTX 1060. As the cheapest of the three cards, the GTX 1060 will provide similar performance to the GTX 980 while consuming just 120 watts of power.

The card also features 6GB of GDDR5 RAM, runs at 8Gbps and has a boost clock speed of 1.7GHz. Best of all, it’s built specifically to handle VR better than any last-gen card. If you’re looking to replace at GTX 960 or 970 without breaking the bank, the GTX 1060 is definitely one of the best ways to do so.

That said, if you’re willing to abandon Nvidia’s Pascal architecture, AMD’s own RX 480 provides similar performance for even cheaper, starting at just $200. The graphic cards war of 2016 is going to be one of the most intense we’ve ever seen.

The GTX 1060 will launch on July 19th from Nvidia’s partners for $249. You can also get the premium founders edition for $299 directly from Nvidia.
