After the first purported press renders of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 4 tablet have been posted online by @evleaks, the same leaker is back with similar images for the bigger 10-inch model. The design appears to be somewhat similar to Samsung’s Pro tablets that were unveiled at CES 2014 and launched in several markets since then. However, the Galaxy Tab 4 models will most likely pack mid-range hardware compared with what the Pro line has to offer. Meanwhile, @evleaks has not revealed any specs or launch plans for these tablets.
Purported Galaxy Tab 4 models have already been spotted in benchmarks suggesting the tablets won’t be high-end models, but also at the FCC, which means the company may soon launch them. Additionally, Samsung also seems to be working on a new high-end family of tablets, possibly sporting AMOLED displays. Tablet models belonging to this new high-end tablet line has also been spotted at the FCC.
Samsung appears committed to further flood the tablet market with more models that could appeal to a variety of consumers, a strategy that paid off for its smartphone business so far.
