Wow, the week just flew by! We got to see Donald Trump addressing the nation twice via YouTube and Jill Stein mount a vote recount campaign that went viral. Not to mention all the Black Friday deals that were unveiled over the week in the final days before the holiday shopping frenzy is set to start. But movie lovers should also know there were plenty of impressive new trailers to see this week as well, so let’s check them out.

DEAL ALERT: The best Cyber Monday sale of the year is happening right now!

Cars 3

I did not expect a new Cars movie, but Disney and Pixar have other plans. And from the looks of this first trailer, we’re looking at a slightly darker version of the film. “Everything will change” on June 16th. We’ve got the same Owen Wilson voicing Lighting McQueen, but that’s pretty much all we know at this stage.

Detour

In this thriller, we have a young law student who’s considering whether he should kill his unfaithful step-father, while also grieving for his dying mother. Detour launches on January 20th, starring Tye Sheridan, Emory Cohen, Stephen Moyer, and others.

Goon 2: Last of the Enforcers

Goon

is back, which means Seann William Scott is back to playing hockey and fighting, though he doesn’t want to do the latter anymore. The movie launches in March:

Fences

Set to premiere on Christmas Day, Fences is a new Denzel Washington movie that tells the story of a family drama set in the US in the 1950s. The second trailer for Fences follows below, and this film is certainly one to look out for.

Passengers

Rogue One

might be the movie many people are dying to see this December, but it’s hardly the only sci-fi picture hitting theaters this winter. Passengers launches December 21st, which is when we’ll finally see what went wrong with the greatest migration in human history.

Rogue One

We’re almost there… Rogue One is set to debut and come Monday, tickets will be available online. So what better way to celebrate it all than to watch the brand new and likely final trailer for the upcoming Star Wars movie?

Silence

Jot down this movie title right now: Silence. It’s a new Martin Scorsese film, which is practically all we need to know to want to see it. We also get to see Adam Driver dressed in black — but don’t call him Kylo just yet. Driver and Andrew Garfield are two Christian missionaries headed to Japan to find their lost mentor, who’s played by Liam Neeson. We finally have one movie where Liam Neeson won’t be the one coming to the rescue. Silence launches in January.

Smurfs: The Lost Village

Beware, the Smurfs are coming! But there’s a long time to go to April 7th, so we’ll have to make do with this trailer for now.

The Book of Love

Look who we have here, it’s Maisie Williams in something other than Game of Thrones. The Book of Love tells the story of an architect (Jason Sudeikis), who mourns his wife (Jessica Biel) and looks to help Millie (Williams) build a raft to sail across the Atlantic. The Book of Love launches January 13th.

The Comedian

I’ll just leave this here: Robert De Niro, Danny DeVito. The Comedian hits theaters on January 13th.
