Sony will likely unveil its next-generation flagship handset in the near future, maybe as soon as MWC 2014. However the Xperia “Sirius” D6503 – which appears to be the codename of the Xperia Z2 – has already been featured in great detail in a variety of reports. The most recent leaks reveal that the upcoming smartphone may have some monster camera specs, Android Community reports.

On top of its previously reported 4K video recording mode, the Xperia Z2 will also offer Full HD 1080p video recording at 60fps and a new 15.5-megapixel photo-shooting mode, which are not available on the Xperia Z1. The Xperia Z2 is expected to pack the same 20.7-megapixel camera that’s found on the Xperia Z1.

Purported Xperia Z2 screenshots also reveal various camera-related apps that will add further effects to videos including the Timeshift Video app and the Creative Effect Camera app.

The Xperia Z2 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and Android 4.4 under the hood. Furthermore, a blurry image that was recently leaked hinted that the handset will pack a rather thin bezel.

The leaked images showing the camera UI follow below.
