Motorola so far launched only low-end devices this year, including the Moto E and the Moto G 4G LTE, but the company is working on a Moto X+1 version, a Moto X successor that was already confirmed on the company’s website. The device, expected to offer user Moto X-like customization options and sell for around $400 should hit all major U.S. carriers later this year. While it’s not clear when the phone will launch, a couple of purported Moto X+1 images showing the handset have hit the web.
A Baidu user posted a picture of a smartphone he claims to be the Moto X+1, saying the handset features a 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution. However, other details about the handset have not been revealed yet.
The phone image shows a handset featuring a large display with thin bezels, while the front’s speakers, sensors and camera arrangement isn’t consistent with what’s found on the Moto X front side.
A few days ago, @evleaks posted an alleged image of the Moto X+1 with the screen turned on, although the picture is rather blurry to reveal any significant details.
Many top Android handset makers have already launched their 2014 flagship handsets, including Sony, Samsung, HTC and LG, so it would make sense to see Motorola and Lenovo announce the Moto X+1 at some point in the future.
