We finally might have found an Apple fan who is sillier than the ones who sat outside during a typhoon just so they wouldn’t lose their place in line for the iPhone 5s. As Business Insider notes, eBay users are now selling gold iPhone 5s models for thousands of dollars a piece, including one gold iPhone that just sold for a winning bid of more than $10,000. Gold iPhones have been in high demand ever since the iPhone 5s launched last Friday and we’ve heard several reports of early supply shortages for the device. Even so, it’s unclear why anyone would spend $10,000 for a device that will at some point be available for just $200 on contract especially since Apple is reportedly planning to ramp up gold iPhone production to meet demand.
