The worst thing about the Apple Watch is, in my opinion, its battery life. Even though the device will comfortably last for more than a day, you’ll still have to carry a second charger with you for the Watch, and constantly take it off to recharge it. Otherwise, you might find yourself seeing it go into battery reserve mode when you least expect it.

While Apple’s battery technology is not quite where the company wants it to be, Watch accessory makers might soon fix this pressing issue.

That’s exactly what Reserve Strap wants to do: provide users with a watch band that offers them not only additional juice, but also faster charging. The gadget can be preordered now, 9to5Mac reports, and it will ship in white, gray and black at some point this fall.

It’s not clear how much additional battery life the accessory will offer, but the company says the new strap will take advantage of Apple’s hidden port to recharge the battery faster.

The company says the port, which is intended only to be accessed by Apple for diagnostic purposes, can be used for charging the battery as well. Charging the smartphone this way is supposedly faster than wireless charging, and it also means that the charging will actually take place while you wear the Watch. As a result, users can simply simply carry around this special band as a spare, and replace their other Watch bands with it when battery levels get too low.

Unfortunately, at $249, Reserve Straps won’t be cheap.
